Ugh, Frostproof.

It was a horrible idea to have all three 2018 Nats over three weeks there.

This is actually going to be my first trip to the range there.

What didnt you like about the facility? ("The humidity" is not an acceptable answer.)

Facility is fine, though shooting in east facing bays in the morning can be challenging. Could also use a layer of finer crushed rocks along the central walkway.

Frostproof just sucks. It's a 2 hour drive from the Orlando into the middle of nowhere. Crappy hotels, crappy chain restaurants or local grease pits. Humidity doesn't bother me, I grew up in Houston and lived in Gainesville for a year without A/C.

Yeah it’s amazing they were able to locate the bumfuck middle of nowhere even back in the 1800s.

You’d think sometime in the intervening 200 years they would have built like a mall or a resort or something, but not Frostproof.
