You are all quite welcome. It was 75% me being impatient/not searching/asking for help before things went pair shaped.

25% is the design itself. We all get spoiled on the blindingly stupid design of Glock, but it's something to be able to take things down to parts level and be able to replace nearly everything on your own.

Wow, that's really interesting. The number of cowboys, ranch hands, frontier folk and the Army's armorers curses to Sam Colt must be still hovering over the Plains.
