Cimarron Firearms - SA Army Disassembly and Reassembly instructions

FYI: YouTube videos for disassembly and reassembly can be found in Post #50.

So, I'm in the fortunate position of being within an easy drive to Texas Jack's in Fredericksburg TX, which has arguably the largest selection of Cimarron Single Action revolvers in these known parts.

I'm torn between:

The Doc Holliday Thunderer 45LC, 4 3/4" from Tombstone, because reasons.

The Model P with in 45LC , 4 3/4" with an additional 45ACP cylinder

Why not all three?

(C'mon, you know we're a bunch of enablers in here)

In all seriousness though, that 5 1/2 stainless is sexy, I'd get that and see if I could find a .45acp cylinder for it.

Yeah, that one is so nice. The website doesn't list a 45acp cylinder for the stainless 45lc...only the blued Model P's.

Thing is, if you buy a cylinder that does not come with the revolver...it's going to have to be fitted to it, which is a horrifying (if not just costly) proposal. :)

In my heart of hearts, if I can make that happen I will. I just hope my hand is a good fit for that Thunderer grip. That's my real concern.

At this rate, if it's as cool as it looks...I may still get it in just 45LC.

**Edit**

Dangit, Marlene. You made me look it up. Cimarron DOES offer it with the conversion.

Yeah, you found it. I'd be very disappointed in you if you don't get that one. I was torn between the top two until I read down thread and found out the Thunderer could be had with the ACP cylinder.

I'm going to be really crestfallen if it's out of stock tomorrow.

There are some places online that stock it, so mebbe call the shop first, and if they don't have it just order it and have it shipped there?

If there's one to be had, they should have it. Cimmaron is two miles from the shop. If anything, I want to check out my options. I'll drive back if I have to.

Is blue thunderer with the extra cylinder an option? I’m a sucker for blue and wood.

It's an option on Cimarron's website and given the quantity of supply at the shop, I'd say the odds are good.

I am now also am about what a PITA it is to properly clean stainless.

I'm fairly disappointed that none of the local LGC folks in the bay area have one. I should have been able to shoot one by now. FOR SHAME! :)

Oh, damn all y'all (I say that in most sincere TX way) for making me actually pick up a phone and talk to humans. I don't even call my wife if the exchange can be done via text.

Just called the store and the gun counter confirms they have them in stock.

I know some people dislike Bud's, but you can order online, and never talk to a single person until you go pick it up from your FFL.

Just sayin'.....

Oh sure. Curiosity got the best of me. We were going there tomorrow regardless, but it's nice to know they have them in stock.
