Well guys I just plunged for a cheap ass TruGlo red dot dual red/green 5 MOA from Optics Planet for 66.49 and free shipping. I'm hoping to get a good 15 or 20 minutes out of it without it loosing sight orientation.
Anyone have one of these?
Re: TruGlo Reflex Dual
2I have one. Not sure if it is the same model. I don't have it mounted on anything right now but it worked well on my 10/22s and 22/45 Mk III. I had it mounted on the pistol where it worked fine - held zero, etc. - but swapped it for a smaller sight. Not sure how it will do on a firearm with a heftier recoil.
The only issue might be that the POI may change when you switch reticles.

3Thanks man, should receive it soon. I'm excited to try it out. I have zero experience with this type site. It's for the Ruger 22/45 lite so I'm hoping recoil won't be a problem.

5Is it a red dot or holographic?
The red dots (tubes) are pretty stout. The holographics across many brands have trouble with the light turning off (in the off position). Always a good idea to keep a spare battery with you.

7The one I had on my SKS cracked the glass, and it happened carrying the gun in a hardcase. SO despite looking rugged, they aren't. Replaced it with a Barska, so far so good.
When only cops have guns, it's called a police state.
I carry due to toxic masculinity.......just other people's.

8By carrying in a hard case do you mean tripped and dropped it off dead man's cliff?
Re: TruGlo Reflex Dual
9I wish, then I wouldn't be so burnt about it.

11Well, you did buy a Ruger 'Lite'... I doubt Ruger meant that you can read a book by it or use it to paint a Mr. Potato Head...
I suspect this svelte NC Star Red Dot is something you would be happier with:
Just don't go dropping it on the ground or anything...
BTW, that's a fine pistol you got there. I've often imagined that the Ruger Lite was designed for Mossad agents...

12I think I'll be happy with the one I got or my wife's gonna kill me, but yeah.
