New sizes from ACME

I have no association with this company, but have used their HiTEK coated and lubed .38, 9mm, and 45-70 with good results. Anyway, got this email and know it pertains to some reloaders here. They are now making 40-65 250gn in both styles, a 40-40 200gn HiTEK, and a 45-70 500gn lubed. And of course, they come shipped in a neat little wooden box. http://www.acmebullet.com/index.php

Have you checked weight variation on the bullets? I'd love to find someone doing coated bullets that were "match" or whatever name you want to give high quality bullets. Curious to know whether coated bullets should fit the throat like greasers or like jacketed bullets.

Just ran a quick non scientific weighing on a digital scale of the 115gn 9mm with the HiTek coating. Most were 114.7 to 115.3, the outliers were 114.2 and 115.7. Sample size of about 20. To be clear, I've only used the coated in 9mm, not in .357 or 45-70. Those were the lubed. Not sure on the fitting, but seems like I read about it when I started using them. I'll see if I can find the article.

Picked up some of the .313 100 gr hardcast and also coated RNFPs from Acme, and now have to figure out how to load them. My Lyman 49th book has no 327 Federal in it at all, and 32 H&R loading only has JHPs in 100 gr. Can I use a JHP load for a hardcast RNFP of identical weight? Can I use a 32 H&R load in a 327 casing? Guns are Ruger revolvers chambered for 327.
