New Virginia governor launches tip line to report teachers for 'divisive' subjects

1
New Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin is begging Virginia parents to call his tip line to report teachers for teaching "divisive" subjects. While they called it a tip line, the office only revealed an email the press release: helpeducation@governor.virginia.gov.

According to the Washington Post, the number hasn't been up long enough for activists to clog the line. When former President Donald Trump put up a tip line over voter fraud, he wasn't able to capture any actual cases of voter fraud, but the young conservative staffers were "traumatized" by obscene phone calls and pornographic imagery coming into the online reporting site.

"We’re asking for folks to send us reports and observations," Youngkin said, "help us be aware of … their child being denied their rights that parents have in Virginia, and we’re going to make sure we catalogue it all. … And that gives us further, further ability to make sure we’re rooting it out."

Youngkin admitted in a Fox interview that "critical race theory" isn't being taught anywhere in Virginia, despite making it a key component of his 2021 campaign.

Daily Beast reporter salary Matt Fuller, taking the word "divisive" literally, couldn't help but joke that he expects many reports on math teachers over multiplication.

Since they used an email may I suggest a change to the email address. helpSTASI@governor.virginia.gov.

And the jokers have been clogging his shit line with complaints like "My kid's math teacher is using ARABIC numerals! I thought we were fighting Sharia law!"
Stuff like that--which is what the asshole deserves. Every time Virginia elects a Republican governor they end up regretting it.

It's an election year and CRT is just another "social justice issue" that keeps the populace divided. Democrats see the recent Congressional bill as "Voting Rights" while Republicans view that issue as "Election Integrity". And each side becomes more and more partisan, which is the goal of political parties.

Well, I think that Republicans stand for a strong, free, and prosperous nation. And so, one, we need to tackle the issue of inflation.... Alleviating those pressures on our families would be job number one.
So? What's the PLAN, Joni? Dems are for that too--and are DOING something--like the Infrastructure bill YOU voted against!

Second:
Covid as well. We need to make sure that American families have access to testing.
Gee, Joni...Didn't President Biden just make 4 test kits per family FREE? How are YOU planning to do it?

Third:
And then as well, we need to focus on additional things like, you know, foreign relations with our allies, because obviously with national security we are under a lot of pressure right now."
So...you don't think TFG kissing and cleaning Vlad's butt-hole encouraged him to try to take Ukraine? You don't think TFG pissing off virtually EVER single ally we have, and sucking up to every dictator weakened our presence in the world?

See--they got nothing. They stand for nothing but getting more and more wealth and power into fewer and fewer hands.

Not amazing... Really quite predictable when you think of it.
We keep making the mistake of thinking society has evolved, only to learn only about half of society has evolved. They use the same obvious and overt methods because the dumb people still fall for it.

And yet … they do it because it works. Making shit up works. People are STILL freaking out about Saul Alinsky and everything else on that list. Virginia voted in fear of whatever they believe CRT is and now they have a Stasi-tip-line for their kids to rat out liberal teachers. And Mitch is right, they can and will take control of Congress (maybe the Senate too) and they don’t need to stand for a damn thing to do it.

If January 6th had been some major inflection point, where the whole country took a step back and said, whoa, enough is enough, and turned their backs on the GOP, maybe, just maybe, there would be some hope for us, but instead we a going to hand control of Congress to the perpetrators come November.

This country is doomed.
Whatever I said above, just pretend I included the obligatory “both sides,” especially if I said something mean about Trump (don’t want to hurt any feelings).

My older brothers were draft age in the 60's and early 70's and I remember WELL that lots of Vietnam War supporters became ANTI-war when THEY became at realistic risk to be drafts and sent across the Pacific. As soon as the risk was gone, and their ability to have sex with anyone and everyone was past, they reverted to their OTHER brand of selfishness: Republicanism.
I was barely past that--one year older and I might WELL have been drafted (my lottery # was 025!) Yet many of my "hippie" contemporaries turned into selfish, racist, fascist, greedy assholes as well. Seems to have something to do with either going totally gray or bald....

Look at some of the boomers like John Bolton and Dick Cheney, who SUPPORTED the War but found ways to avoid getting drafted. Bolton "I didn't want to die in a rice paddy" (who does?). Cheney: "I had better things to do" (who doesn't?). Dubya's admin was filled with chickenhawks who pushed us into 3 wars.

My lottery number was over 300, so it's the only lottery I've ever won. I remained a leftist, voted McGovern, became a vegetarian, and am still married to a woman I met in a communal living situation. We're still in touch with some of them. Now here we are all gray and wrinkly. Far out, man.

I think an easier way to look at is, is that belief is easy. It doesn't require critical thinking within mounds of contrapuntal research. Americans now are lazy. Not in the Depression, the War, and the booming 50's. Lots of world domination. The 20th will and should be called the American Century while we face potential extinction as a species now that no one believes. Far out, man.

Another wedge issue in politics and political parties love wedge issues because it energizes their followers. Race is a dominate issue in American politics and CRT is a "theory" that politicians get to define in each state. It's a lot like evolution, also a theory.

We all know guns energize Democrats against and Republicans for, same with abortion, same-sex marriage, immigration, religion... Cannabis legalization used to be a Democratic issue that Republicans are taking over.

CRT will be around for at least the 2022 campaign and I expect 2024.
