J6 docs 'do not belong to you': McCarthy sends Thompson angry letter defending Trump

House Minority Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy in an angry letter to Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS) warned the Chairman of the U.S. House Select Committee on the January 6 Attack that his role will end on January 3 and it is "imperative that all information collected be preserved." The California Republican congressman had a dramatically different position on Donald Trump's unlawful retention of well over ten thousand items from the White House, including at least 300 documents with classified markings, including some classified at the highest levels.

McCarthy, who is running to be Speaker of the House but is facing strong opposition from some of the GOP caucus, nevertheless is acting as if he will wield the gavel.

His letter, angry and accusatory in tone, also strongly suggests Republicans will hold their own hearings on the January 6 attack on the Capitol and on democracy, but with a vastly different focus.

"The American people chose Republicans to lead the 118th Congress," McCarthy's letter begins. "On January 3, 2023, your work as Chairman of the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol will come to an end," McCarthy told Thompson in his letter, which was reported on by CBS News.

Maybe the House committee should send all the Documents to the National Archives so they can't be taken and flushed down a toilet. Also for the Rpugs in the House to hold hearings on the Jan. 6 attack, can we say BENGHAZI.

It’s not just TOS that might be going up the river but a few other select people.

Mark Meadows might be number one, for not knowing where his legal residence was when he voted and for all the seditious text exchange before and during Jan. 6th.
Mark Meadows under investigation for voter fraud in North Carolina

On Wednesday, WRAL reported that state officials in North Carolina are considering criminal charges against former President Donald Trump's chief of staff, Mark Meadows, for voter fraud.

"Meadows voted in North Carolina’s 2020 general election," reported Bryan Anderson. "He was registered to vote in the state using an address of a rented western North Carolina mobile home. But he purportedly never stayed at the property, according to the former owner of the Scaly Mountain property. Documents obtained through a public records request show Meadows asked for absentee ballots in that election to be delivered to an address in the Washington, D.C., area."

Ha ha… compare Jack Smith’s current multi-pronged investigation of traitorous sedition by 45 and his cronies to Ken Starr’s fixation on a single lie by 42 about how some cum stains got onto a blue dress? That whole thing was just laughable political theater (and oh how simple times were back then.) The sheer scale of the current investigation and the team of crack prosecutors that Jack Smith assembled to bring Jan 6th perps to justice is pretty awesome (and continues to make me profoundly sad for how we citizens have allowed -again, GOP led political theater- to take our country to the brink).

We know the complete report will be released on the Solstice, Dec. 21, yet there will be a final hearing on Monday. Juicy quote:
Asked whether the 1pm ET hearing on Monday will include new evidence or testimony, Thompson said: "It could be evidence that we have not shared in the hearings. It could very well be."

The late Ken Starr was a joke. Still he did uncover Bill Clinton's inability to keep his dick in his pants. Not the first instance of presidential indiscretion, but in this day and age when parties are "holier than Thou", Clinton should have paid severely for that one. More Democratic hypocrisy, if that was W or Trump the Democrats would be going for blood to get W or Trump to resign or they'd advocate impeachment.

Clinton survived thanks to Black voters.
At a time when President Clinton is desperate for allies, no constituency has been more visible in its support for the beleaguered president than African Americans. And no group of lawmakers may be more critical in protecting him against an increasingly hostile Congress than the Black Caucus. So strong is the rallying cry around Clinton that some blacks in Maryland are even considering voting against Democratic Gov. Parris N. Glendening, because he canceled a Clinton fund-raiser and skipped a presidential appearance at a Silver Spring school last week.

If we follow history there are many of the "defeated" wannabe dictators, that are considered losers, come back and rule stronger than ever. Of course the prime example is the favorite dictator of all time Hitler. Beer Hall Putsch 1923 convicted and jailed, nine years later elected Dictator of Germany. We can't leave out the other great dictator, Napoleon, and it didn't take him nine years to come back and rule over much of Europe until he meet his Waterloo.

Of course that could never happen here. :sarcasm:

A Lot! They didn't go away I think more of us showed up by a tiny bit. Most were very close. No blow outs I can recall.

Do not let these goons up off the mat for two years. The voters have to have this type of truthful information shown to them again and again, tied to the Party of Orange.

Well Surprise, Surprise.
Mysterious company behind Trump's $99 trading cards has same address as his West Palm Beach golf club

On Thursday, after teasing a massive announcement the day before, former President Donald Trump unveiled a series of $99 "trading card" nonfungible tokens, or NFTs — images of himself backed by cryptocurrency technology.

The announcement was widely mocked — however, one slightly less discussed detail is the nature of the company making the cards.

It isn't Trump's campaign, nor is it the Trump Organization. Rather, it is a mysterious entity known as CIC Ventures, which, according to Ken Bensington of The New York Times, has a lot of overlap with Trump.

"The company that licensed Trump's image and likeness for the $99 NFT trading cards appears to be one founded in 2021 by former Trump advisor Nick Luna and current Trump lawyer John Marion," wrote Bensington on Twitter. "Its mailing address is the same as the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach."

Newly unsealed court documents show that a Tennessee man arrested for his involvement in the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection also conspired with another person to kill dozens of federal agents involved in the investigation. Earlier this year, Edward Kelley, 33, was one of many rioters arrested on charges of illegally entering the U.S. Capitol and assaulting an officer.

According to the FBI, Kelley later discussed plans with 26-year-old Austin Carter to kill law enforcement personnel who had worked in his criminal investigation, and made a list of targets. Court records show that a witness provided the list of 37 names to a local Tennessee police department on Tuesday.

Kelley and Carter discussed collecting information and plans to law enforcement officials on the list, which also included on the FBI's Knoxville field office. "You guys are taking them out at their office," said Kelley, who was recorded by the unidentified witness on Wednesday. "What you and Austin need to do is recruit as many as you can, call who you need to, and you're going to attack their office." When the witness asked if the attack was taking place at the Knoxville office, Kelley said yes. Carter later told the witness that "this is the time, add up or put up" and "to definitely make sure you got everything racked, locked up and loaded."

Kelley's attorneys in Tennessee and Washington D.C, did not immediately respond to CBS News' request for comment.

Hearing begins 11 am Eastern.

I have to comment directly to the plethora of people--mostly men--who have already been convicted and sentenced for their participation in the would-be coup: Fuck You! Rot in jail.
