Yup, especially during an election cycle when blame and gotcha games are played by both parties. The parties differ on issues, but they have similar PACs and Super PACs to fund themselves and whore for media attention at every turn.sikacz wrote: Sun Oct 01, 2023 10:12 amAbsolutely, a core component of a democracy and disingenuous of anyone to not acknowledge the failings of both parties and the tools they use. Unfortunately the shutdown game has replaced the art of compromise. Laying blame instead of working for solutions seems more advantageous to the parties.highdesert wrote: Sun Oct 01, 2023 9:01 am The games political parties play, they are very much alike. The last government shutdown was because Democrats wouldn't pass funding for Trump's border wall. Both parties play the shutdown game. To get rid of Republicans in Congress you have to get rid of those red states that think differently than blue states, that's talking civil war. In a democracy people are allowed to think differently.
