Republican House Rep. on Gaza: “We Should Kill Them All”

In a stunning admission, a House Republican was caught on camera this week saying that he thinks the U.S. and Israel should kill all Palestinians in Gaza.

Tennessee Rep. Andy Ogles made the comments in response to pro-Palestine activists who confronted him in a hallway about the U.S.’s continued support for Israel’s genocidal assault in Gaza, which has killed 30,000 Palestinians so far, including 12,300 children.

“I’ve seen the footage of shredded children’s bodies,” an activist told Ogles after the lawmaker repeated unsubstantiated claims about violence against children by Hamas forces. “That’s my taxpayer dollars going to bomb those kids.”

“I think we should kill them all,” Ogles responded. “If that makes you feel better.”

He went on to seemingly suggest that the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza and beyond is legitimate in order to serve the desires of Israel. “Hamas and the Palestinians have been attacking Israel for 20 years,” Ogles said, failing to mention the brutal system of ethnic cleansing and apartheid that Israel has imposed on Palestinians for 75 years. “It’s time to pay the piper.”

“Death to Hamas,” Ogles concluded, turning to the camera.

Ogles’s office has supposedly clarified that the lawmaker was referring to Hamas, not all Palestinians, with his “kill them all” comment — despite the fact that his remark was a direct response to an activist speaking about Palestinian children being bombed using U.S. tax dollars.

UN Experts Say Arms Exports to Israel 'Must Cease Immediately'

Dozens of United Nations experts on Friday called for an immediate arms embargo on Israel and warned that countries and private companies still sending weapons to the Israeli military during its assault on Gaza could be complicit in crimes against humanity.

The experts—including special rapporteurs on education and the rights of displaced people—said in a joint statement that "any transfer of weapons or ammunition to Israel that would be used in Gaza is likely to violate international humanitarian law and must cease immediately."

"Such transfers are prohibited even if the exporting state does not intend the arms to be used in violation of the law—or does not know with certainty that they would be used in such a way—as long as there is a clear risk," they said. "State officials involved in arms exports may be individually criminally liable for aiding and abetting any war crimes, crimes against humanity, or acts of genocide."

The U.N. experts noted that the United States and Germany are "by far" Israel's largest arms suppliers, though France, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia also export weapons to the Israeli government, which the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ruled is plausibly committing genocide in the Gaza Strip.

The ICJ's interim ruling, which Israel has disregarded, has "heightened" the need for an arms embargo, the experts said, noting that compliance with the Genocide Convention of 1948 "requires states parties to employ all means reasonably available to them to prevent genocide in another state as far as possible."

The experts also said that "arms companies contributing to the production and transfer of arms to Israel and businesses investing in those companies bear their own responsibility to respect human rights, international humanitarian law and international criminal law."

"They have not publicly demonstrated the heightened human rights due diligence required of them and accordingly risk complicity in violations," they said.

We will never see this happen as there is to much money involved with the arms trade. If anything send the Israelis slingshots and rocks. If David could take down Goliath with a slingshot and a rock the Israelis should be able to do the same.

Maybe if a coupe of Congress Critters were to be charged with the war crimes for their voting for military aid to israel then that might work to stop the flow of arms.

Biden Has New Authority To Stop Israeli Settler Violence. His Choices May Shape Palestine's Future.

On Feb. 1, the U.S. imposed sanctions on Israeli settler Yinon Levi, locking him out of the international economic system and spurring Israeli banks to freeze his accounts.

The State Department accused Levi of leading fellow Israeli settlers in the West Bank — occupied Palestinian territory claimed by Israel — in attacking Palestinians, destroying their property and driving them from their villages. Levi was little-known internationally, but video and press reports appeared to show him engaging in brutality the U.S. had said it would punish. (Levi denied wrongdoing and said he was never involved in an attack.)

Now his case is drawing additional attention as potential proof a new executive order from President Joe Biden could help de-escalate the Israeli-Palestinian conflict by undercutting Israeli settlements in the West Bank, which would be the heart of any future Palestinian state.

Levi is one of four Israelis sanctioned under the new order, which allows the U.S. to impose sanctions on individuals and entities linked to violence in the West Bank – reprimands which have a sweeping effect because the policy states that once they are imposed, any banks or other entities that do business with them could face U.S. sanctions themselves. It gives the government new powers to halt the flow of hundreds of millions in tax-exempt dollars from U.S. nonprofits to settlers seeking to displace Palestinians, and to put massive pressure on the Israeli government to alter its settlement policy.

The Biden administration will sanction more individuals under the order soon, finalizing its decision in the coming days, a U.S. official told HuffPost. The official said the sanctions will be similar to the first round and will be agreed upon following a meeting of the National Security Council’s deputies committee next week. (A State Department spokesperson declined to comment on the revelation.)

The additional step will follow another striking shift on settlers from the U.S. On Friday, Secretary of State Antony Blinken called West Bank settlements illegal under international law. While that is indisputable, the Biden administration had previously abided by former President Donald Trump’s policy of treating the settlements as legal, which broke with pre-Trump U.S. practice.

The possible consequences of the initial round of sanctions demonstrate how the order and Biden’s seeming focus on challenging settlements could spur sweeping progress.

Most settlers receive some degree of support from the Israeli state: Levi built his illegal outpost in collaboration with a subsidiary of an Israeli government body called the Har Hebron Regional Council, which oversees settlers around the West Bank city of Hebron, The Times of Israel reported. The outpost already violated Israeli law. Now that Levi is under American sanctions, that council is at risk, and so are its partners stateside, like a Brooklyn-based nonprofit called The Hebron Fund, which sends money from American citizens to support settlers in Hebron.

No? So why do you believe Hamas?
It could be a lot more, especially when a large bomb land on a building that has a large crowd and totally destroys the building and the occupants, without knowing how many people were in said building. We have never had a true count of people killed in the bombings in Europe during WWII. We have estimated death counts and that is what we are getting from Hamas and Israel. As for Putin you know it is a propaganda lie, because if the truth was really known there would be protests against the government and the war. Best estimate is they have lost more troops than they did in Afghanistan.

Amnesty International and the UN among other sources cite Israel has been complicit in war crimes now and in the past. There’s actually a long trail of war crimes since 1948 which have been brushed aside by support from the USA and UK. The failure of Israel to comply with nearly fifty UN resolutions is a pretty good reason to not accept Israel’s claims or dismissive comments. Israel went looking for this war and now they are finding the rest of the world has had enough and won’t simply turn a blind eye to their past crimes. At the root of the Israel Palestine problem is the meddling of UK primarily and its allies. Balfour agreement in 1917 was a mistake driven by Jewish interests in the UK and made worse by the UN partition proposed in 1947. It was not a partition plan acceptable to the Arabs and Palestinians and declaring Israel’s independence on those grounds was bound to misfire. There’s little point in trying to push the blame on the Palestinians at this point regardless of their actions, Israel has been the dominant party since 1948 largely due to western support. The acts committed by parties are well documented. It’s a war that needs to end and just like apartheid South Africa needed to end so does the apartheid state of Israel.

Netanyahu Says A Cease-Fire Deal Would Only Delay Israeli Offensive In Rafah

TEL AVIV, Israel (AP) — An Israeli military offensive in Gaza’s southernmost city of Rafah could be “delayed somewhat” if a deal is reached for a weekslong cease-fire between Israel and Hamas, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday, and claimed that total victory in the territory would come within weeks once the offensive begins.

Netanyahu confirmed to CBS that a deal is in the works, with no details. Talks resumed Sunday in Qatar at the specialist level, Egypt’s state-run Al Qahera TV reported, citing an Egyptian official as saying discussions would follow in Cairo with the aim of achieving the cease-fire and release of dozens of hostages held in Gaza as well as Palestinians imprisoned by Israel.

Meanwhile, Israel is nearing the approval of plans to expand its offensive against the Hamas militant group to Rafah on the Gaza-Egypt border, where more than half the besieged territory’s population of 2.3 million have sought refuge. Humanitarian groups warn of a catastrophe. Rafah is Gaza’s main entry point for aid. The U.S. and other allies say Israel must avoid harming civilians.

Netanyahu has said he’ll convene the Cabinet this week to approve operational plans that include the evacuation of civilians to elsewhere in Gaza.

“Once we begin the Rafah operation, the intense phase of the fighting is weeks away from completion. Not months,” Netanyahu told CBS. ““If we don’t have a deal, we’ll do it anyway.” He said four of the six remaining Hamas battalions are concentrated in Rafah

UN Human Rights Chief Decries 'War Crime' of Rapidly Expanding Israeli Settlements

The United Nations human rights chief on Friday condemned the record expansion of illegal Israeli apartheid settlements in the occupied West Bank including East Jerusalem and the "dramatic increase" in violence against Palestinians by Israeli occupation forces and settlers, developments that are occurring while the world's attention is focused on the Gaza genocide.

"Reports this week that Israel plans to build a further 3,476 settler homes in Maale Adumim, Efrat, and Kedar fly in the face of international law," U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk said in a statement responding to the far-right Israeli government's latest settlement expansion scheme.

Türk submitted a report to the U.N. Human Rights Council affirming that Israel is violating the Fourth Geneva Convention by "effectively transferring the civilian population of Israel to the occupied territory while displacing the Palestinian population from their land."

"Such transfers amount to a war crime that may engage the individual criminal responsibility of those involved," the report states.

Both the occupation and settlements are illegal under international law. Israel conquered the West Bank, Gaza, and the Golan Heights in Syria in 1967 and has occupied the territories ever since. Although Israeli troops withdrew from Gaza and dismantled Jewish settlements there in 2005, Israel maintains a crippling physical and economic stranglehold that has become a total siege since October 7, when the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu launched a genocidal war in response to Hamas-led attacks.

The U.N. report notes that approximately 24,300 new homes in existing Israeli settlements in the West Bank were advanced between November 2022 to the end of October 2023, "the highest on record since monitoring began in 2017."
According to the report, Israeli occupation forces and settlers have killed at least 413 Palestinians—including 107 children—while wounding more than 4,600 others in the West Bank since October 7. Palestinians killed 15 Israelis including four soldiers in the occupied territories during the same period.

In one of the most recent incidents, Israeli troops fatally shot 10-year-old Amr Mohammad Ghaleb Najar in the head while he sat in the front seat of his father's car with his younger brother as they drove through the village of Burin on Monday. Soldiers then opened fire on Palestinians trying to rescue the child, wounding two other people.

Israeli Assurances on US Weapons and International Law Called 'Sick Joke'

In news that one policy expert said could have been ripped from the satirical newspaper The Onion, Israeli officials gave a written assurance to the Biden administration on Friday that it would use U.S. weapons in accordance with international law.

The assurance comes more than five months into Israel's bombardment of Gaza, in which the country's U.S.-backed military has killed at least 31,490 Palestinians, including more than 12,300 children, while claiming to be targeting Hamas members.

Assal Rad, research director at the National Iranian American Council, noted that Israel has also killed at least 95 journalists in Gaza, attacked healthcare facilities, and starved civilians by blocking humanitarian aid deliveries while explicitly calling on the Israel Defense Forces to commit genocidal acts.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant signed the letter to the Biden administration weeks after the White House released a national security memorandum (NSM-20) saying Secretary of State Antony Blinken must "obtain credible and reliable written assurances" from any country receiving U.S. weapons, stating that the country "will use any such defense articles in accordance with international humanitarian law."

In December, an Amnesty International investigation found that U.S.-made munitions had been used by the IDF in two illegal airstrikes on residential buildings, which killed more than 43 people, including 19 children.

NSM-20 also says a country receiving U.S. arms must "facilitate and not arbitrarily deny, restrict, or otherwise impede, directly or indirectly, the transport or delivery of United States humanitarian assistance and United States government-supported international efforts to provide humanitarian assistance."

"This is nonsense," Rohan Talbot, director of advocacy and campaigns for Medical Aid for Palestinians, said of Gallant's letter on Friday.

While relentlessly assaulting civilian targets in Gaza, Israel has allowed only a fraction of the humanitarian aid that's needed into the enclave. In recent weeks, the IDF has killed an estimated 400 Palestinians who were trying to access aid, according to officials in Gaza.

According toAxios, which first reported on Israel's communication, Blinken has until March 25 to certify that Gallant's assurances are credible.

Gallant is among the top Israeli officials who have used genocidal rhetoric regarding Palestinians since the country began its bombardment in retaliation for the October 7 Hamas-led attack on southern Israel. He said publicly in October that the IDF was fighting "human animals" in Gaza—home to about 2.3 million people, nearly half of whom are children.

The letter from the defense minister amounted to "a sick joke," said author and political analyst Josh Ruebner.

"Israel's assurances to President Joe Biden that it won't use U.S. weapons to violate international law and won't block U.S. aid from reaching starving Palestinians are clear and blatant lies," said the Institute for Middle East Understanding. We have a current president that has encouraged NATO expansion since the 1970’s, pushed for more as the Soviet Union fell apart, and can be seen as contributing to the Ukrainian’s desire for links with the west and NATO. The wests, mainly US meddling and backdoor manipulation undoubtedly led to a large chunk of eastern Ukrainian’s population to want to pull away leading to the current war that really started over a decade ago. On top of that biden shows an inability to reign in Israel and force concessions that would lead to a peace. He fails in that on both wars. I don’t think that trump is the solution, but it’s pure guesswork to say what he would do. Neither choice is good and trying to justify a hawk like biden as somehow a choice candidate for peace is just not in touch with his record.

Israel's Right-Wing Wants All the Palestinian Land—and This Explains Its State Terrorism

The Israeli government’s “solution” to the Palestinian problem – eviction or destruction and colonization of what’s left of Palestinian land – did not begin after the October 7th Hamas raid. A November 22, 2023, article in the Israeli newspaper Haaretz headline reads,

“Netanyahu Ignored All the Warnings and Looming Threats. He’s Primarily Responsible for the Calamity

Instead of dealing with the clear warnings he was given, the Israeli prime minister focused on crushing democracy, establishing his status as the supreme ruler and transferring resources to the ultra-Orthodox and the settlements

The article notes, “There’s no better proof of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s responsibility for the disaster suffered by Israel on October 7 than the letters of warning sent to him by the head of the Military Intelligence research division, Brig. Gen. Amit Saar, in March and July.”

For many decades Israeli politicians have been working toward the goal of establishing what they call “Eretz Israel” or “The Greater Land of Israel” – a greater Israel composed of all of the Palestine mandate “from the Sea to the River Jordan” (their words). After the partition of Palestine under UN auspices in 1948, Israel has expanded its territory, by military and non-military means, and now comprises 78% of what was once Palestine, plus Syria’s Golan Heights.

Israeli militarists have to degrade all Palestinians (3.2 million in the West Bank and 2.3 million in the Gaza Strip) to expel them from their ancestral lands and in so doing violently reveal the “other antisemitism” that most of the media has ignored.

There is a clear historical record of deliberate displacement documented by many scholars, including the book, “Plowshares into Swords: From Zionism to Israel,” (Verso, 2008) by Princeton Professor Arno Mayer. Coming off the horrors of Russian pogroms and Nazi genocide, the early Founders of the Israeli state were in no mood to respect the rights of the indigenous Palestinians.

It took an American-born Prime Minister of Israel, Golda Meir (1969-1974), to speak the ultimate antisemitism against the Arabs of Palestine, declaring “There is no such thing as a Palestinian people… It is not as if we came and threw them out and took their country. They didn’t exist.”

And where do you suggest the 7 million Jews in Israel go? Do you REALLY think that a takeover by Palestinians won't result in more and more October 7ths?
Remember this unpleasant and inconvenient fact: While it's claimed that 700,000 Palestinians were displaced by the founding of Israel, 972,000 Jews were expelled from their traditional homes following the founding from Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, and Turkey.

The fact is, it's clear you don't give a DAMN if all 7 million Jews are slaughtered as punishment for the sins of the recent government, just like you made it clear you don't give a damn about the women and girls raped and mutilated, babies cooked to death in ovens, toddlers beheaded, and 240 hostages taken. And don't try to tell me that anti-Zionism isn't anti-Semitism. There might have been a difference once, but not anymore. BTW, there are also over 150 Christian-Majority nations, including the USA and your "old country" but only one, ONE Jewish-Majority nation and it's the size of New Jersey, yet even that is begrudged.

There's no uproar about Assad SLAUGHTERING half a million Syrians and Kurds. No, the world doesn't give 2 SHITS about that! Or the murders and kidnappings or women and girls in Nigeria. It hardly gives a shit about the millions of Uighurs China is suppressing. When Putin attacked and took over parts of Ukraine in 2014 and 2015 did the world rally to DEMAND he give back the Crimea? No, ONLY Israel is considered a "criminal nation" for seizing land from nations that attacked her--and they gave BACK Sinai to Egypt.

Yeah, Netanyahu must go, and with it the radical and religious right. But to say an 76 year old nation needs to be WIPED OUT is flat-out Hitlerian!
I'm an ethnic Jew and EVERY Jew in the world now is aware that the WHOLE WORLD is hating us, again, as if getting rid of every Jew will solve ANY of the world's problems! It's no longer a fringe--it's people like YOU!

'Starvation Caucus': US Lawmakers Push Spending Bill That Bars Funding for UNRWA

A $1.2 trillion government spending package that Congress is expected to pass by this weekend would prohibit U.S. funding for the United Nations relief agency for Palestinian refugees for at least a year as Gazans living under Israeli siege face increasingly catastrophic hunger.

Buried at the end of 1,012 pages of legislative text unveiled early Thursday is a section that says funds appropriated under the bipartisan bill "may not be used for a contribution, grant, or other payment" to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), which Gazans rely on for food and shelter. The U.S. is historically the largest donor to UNRWA.

The proposed freeze would last through March 2025. Many Republican lawmakers are calling for a permanent end to U.S. funding for the agency, which has faced shortfalls since the Biden administration and other Western governments paused donations in late January following Israel's unsubstantiated claims that UNRWA staffers took part in the Hamas-led October 7 attack on Israel.

Ahead of the release of legislative text, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) "touted" the UNRWA freeze to members, The Associated Pressreported Wednesday—days after a report warned that Gaza's entire population is facing "high levels of acute food insecurity" and "famine is imminent" in the northern part of the enclave.

Congressional progressives, meanwhile, have urged the Biden administration to immediately restore UNRWA funding.

So the Rightwing wankers in congress want to spend billions for bombs but not one cent for food aid for starving people.
