You need to be a LCG member and confirm with admins.

Include your membership number and it might speed things up.

Or is this kind of deserted around here?
Welcome!

It’s pretty the same 20 or so of us that are the regular posters here. But a lot of wisdom on a variety of topics. Sending your membership info to the admin will get the locked stuff unlocked .

A hearty :welcome: from over in Kentucky, land of two or three blue islands in a sea of red.

As INVICTVS138 notes, there are a smallish number of regular commenters, and any number of folks who post once in a while.
Eventually I'll figure out this signature thing and decide what I want to put here.

If you are a paid member, then send me a private message with your membership number and I'll upgrade your permissions. The forum doesn't automatically do that.

I'm glad to join the LGC and make my first post on the forum. I live in the Dallas-Ft. Wort area and would love to meet like minded people. I do shoot pistols, but really love to shoot clays (trap, skeet, five-stand, etc). I also occasionally go hunting for upland game or ducks, and I have a hunting dog, but have been really turned off by the gun/hunting culture here in Texas.

Welcome from Ohio. —- where there not much of a bird hunting culture left at all (toxic or otherwise) …. I generally hunt by myself or with my oldest son. Water-fowling is done solo via kayak.

But I’m primarily a pistol shooter/collector for recreation anyways.

As my screen-name says. I am a disillusioned Republican. The way the party has been going to Trump is disheartening to say the least. I want smaller government, less pork-barrel spending, fiscal responsibility, and protection of civil rights. Not the bloated monster that it has become. This problem falls towards both parties too. Republicans and Democrats. As a gun owner, the leadership of both the Republicans and the Democrats view me as an enemy.

Then you're fortunate, because this is the *Liberal* Gun Club, not the *Democrat* Gun Club. Many people here are Democrat supporters, but not all of us (I'm one who doesn't support either of the corporate Parties). Some of us believe in some gun control; others of us do not. But we all believe that the Liberal position means gun ownership by Us, The People, as a general rule.

I’m in the group with CowboyT, not a democrat at this point. Also CowboyT’s breakdown is accurate enough on gun issues. I’m not at all onboard with the current dems push on guns and the legislative agenda they are pushing. I’m definitely left and liberal and very disappointed at the portrayal that the left want to take away guns. I believe the neoliberals want to take away guns and they are neither left nor very liberal. They are corporatists and have more in common with right wing conservatives. That all said, we play pretty nice, although some of us do get a bit irritated at times.

I don't want to get into quibbles over who is liberal or progressive or leftists.

I'm pretty far to the left of all the mainstream national level politicians, and consider Bernie Sanders a centrist.

It is thus easy to see why I don't think much of Democratic pols, although they are (regrettably) the nearest to my own views that would be close to successful in the current crappy corporate-owned system.
