My Ruger SR22: a favorite amongst the mid-project parts and tools of my other favorite thing to do. Tandemkross Wingman +5's, Williams Fire Sights, and Foibus holster.

I’m thinking of getting a barrel blank for the next one and having it threaded to the receiver by Connecticut precision. Sort of the next step into insanity.

i had Randy at Ct precision thread my receiver and barrel and re-chamber on my 10/22. Its a Kidd barrel so it shot before but it did get rid of the occasional flyer and tightened up the groups overall really nicely. I think that is $$ well spent. The odd thing was after I had it done the ammo it did not like before it loves now. CCI standard shoots MOA which is nice because it is only 30$ a brick in Ct. So I don't always have to be looking for SK everywhere I go.

Did USI in concord ever sort out the rifle range deal? I grew up in the East bay and spent my fair share of time there. I was saddened to hear that the rifle range was not open.

Thanks, that’s good info on the results of the CTP work.

USI rifle range is still in limbo with what appears to be a lot of infighting and politics. Many are questioning if it will ever reopen at this point. Ranges in the Bay Area are dropping like flys.

I loved mine, but the baby Beretta is just too cute, and I didn't need two baby .22's :)

Well, to resurrect an oldish thread since I cannot for the life of me find the Gun Porn thread (is it in an area off limits to us "Don't wish to Play" types?)

New acquisition - a 22/45 short bull barrel, on a Volquartsen lower with the "Standard" grip angle to match the Mk IV. Stippled grips from the folks at Altamont. Shoots like a dream, rejoices in the name of "BullShort". :)

Image

Target was shot at 7 yards, offhand - black is about 2-1/4" - so including the flyer they're all in a 2-3/4" circle, ignoring the flyer it comes down to 2" . Could use another click to the left, I suppose, but that will happen next outing. Ammo was CCI MiniMax LRN. Hoping groups shrink a little with more target-y ammo. :)

The Deco bronze seems to appreciate your purchase. I do too although I am not as demonstrative as she.

Did you try entering "gun porn" in the search box?

It's the top sticky under Topics in Rainbows and Unicorns, if that helps.

"Yes", and "It does" - in that order.

"Rainbows and Unicorns" is invisible to us "Don't want to Play" folks. Such is life. :)

Ahh. Maybe we should lobby for "Gun Porn" to be made its own subforum on the Index page and visible to everyone, since it's surely something EVERYBODY wants to see.
