Street/prison/drug/smuggling gangs/cartels are the symptoms of a racist society and the inescapable results of an unjust economic system that takes too much from the many to enrich a few.

There is a red and blue pill for everything. I’m not a Marxist as much as a Taoist. I look at the world in terms of cause and effect and strive to feel myself in the other person’s shoe in any situation. Things get much more complicated and nuanced when you think in terms of viable solutions rather than disengage from social ills as if “it has always been this way.”

Sure, though in no way does any of the above give clemency to those who prey upon the poor/disenfranchised, while ruining their lives and families with drugs, violence, and sexual exploitation etc, all of which limits the poor/disenfranchised abilities to improve their standing in society along with the obvious effects of the establishment's racism and unfair economics.

It is complicated no doubt, but don't fool yourself into believing that street/prison/drug/smuggling gangs/cartels are solely caused by the establishment, they're not as everyone is responsible for their own actions, and these scum are purely predators.

Every society is racist, we just talk about it more. Gangs and cartels are a lot like organized crime, they've always existed and they operate under the radar until a mass shooting like this gets the attention of MSM. When one gang or organized crime family is wiped out, others are born. And gangs and organized crime use guns, so they give us law abiding gun owners a bad rap. There aren't the resources or political will to maintain the war against them.

^^This^^^

There's also the fear factor in that law enforcement and legal/justice department related people and their families are sitting duck targets for anonymous criminals, many of whom are totally ruthless with no qualms about killing innocents and children to further their aims.

The only way to rid the country of them is to bend the rules like the war on terror did/does, along with all the negatives that implies (Sicario etc, lack of due process, innocents getting caught in the net etc...). So, the question becomes do the ends justify the means?

If there were only law abiding gun owners there wouldn't be a anti-gun crusade...
